One Step at a Time

Once a fight started among two renowned clans in the village. A lot of bloodsheds happened over the generations to decide who was more wise and powerful. 

Finally, a strange bet was introduced to decide and stop the bloodbath. The clan who will fulfill the bet will be the ultimate winner.

Any one person from each clan has to lift a full grown bull without any help. The one who will lift first will be the champion.

John from the first clan and Robert from the other clan were the candidates elected to fight the bet. John bought a newborn calf and Robert bought the full grown bull. Everyone laughed at the John for his stupid decision. They thought it will take a while until calf becomes a full grown bull. And Robert will get enough time to be stronger to lift the bull.

The first day, John lifted the calf with ease but that was not the bet. On the other side, Robert strengthened himself and tried picking up the bull. He was unsuccessful. The days started passing by.John and Robert were working on their strengths and were trying daily to lift. 

Gradually calf got bigger and heavier. But John was not getting problem lifting as it was just little heavier than the last day. Finally, after a year, the calf was now a full grown bull and John could still lift it.

But Robert was still waiting for his first successful attempt to lift a full grown bull.

One step at a time could result in miracles. A short and continuous effort and you can win what you want.
